Tapestry Weaving

You have seen those gorgeous tapestries that depict a scene, but how on earth could you make one of those?  Join Grace McFetters Caldwell as she teaches a basic Image Tapestry.  This class will examine the beginner principles and techniques of tapestry weaving, how to design a landscape scene, and how to properly finish your handwoven piece, including display options. Students will first work on a tiny tapestry to learn the technique, then design their own landscape and weave the piece for display.  The tiny tapestry will measure 4” x 6” and the self-designed piece will measure approximately 18” x 24”.
