Nonprofit Essentials: Budgeting and Finances

Part of HandsOn NWNC’s nine-month Nonprofit Essentials series held in conjunction with Wake Forest University, this class is designed to give an overview of nonprofit budgeting and finance, including financial terminology, the components of nonprofit financial statements, and a working understanding of an income statement and balance sheet. The course will also address how to build a budget, use performance standards to help make spending decisions, address “red flag” issues, and review best practices as they relate to financial management.

Taught by Wake Forest alum, CPA, and current CEO of Ronald McDonald Charities of the Triad, Chuck Kraft brings heaps of humor, wisdom, and insight to this highly interactive, and (dare we say it?) even fun class!
